NEWS RELEASE Southern Gospel Music was founded in 1910 by Mr. James D. Vaughan in Lawrenceburg, TN. 2010 will celebrate the 100th anniversary of this music. To kick off the celebration in it’s birthplace, Lawrenceburg, TN, JAF Promotions and WDXE Radio proudly presents "Lawrenceburg’s Southern Gospel Spring Fling" on Friday March 26, 2010 at the Historic Crockett Theater in Downtown Lawrenceburg, TN. With the concert beginning at 7:00p.m. and doors opening at 6:00p.m. Returning to Lawrenceburg and the featured artist for the Spring Fling will be the world famous Chuck Wagon Gang. Marking their 74th year of singing traditional southern gospel music, the Gang will sing many of those favorites songs from the old Vaughan Songbooks and of course the ever so popular Chuck Wagon Gang signature songs such as "The Church In The Wildwood", "Echoes From The Burning Bush","I’ll Meet You In The Morning", "Looking For A City", "I’ll Fly Away" and many more. Today, the Chuck Wagon Gang consists of: Dave Emery (Bass, Emcee, and Manager), Shaye Smith (Alto), Stan Hill (Tenor), and Julie Hudson (Soprano). Also appearing will be husband/wife Duo from Savannah, Tn, Josh & Ashley Franks. Tickets are $10 at the door, day of event. No Reserved Seating!
